Yeah looking to get a deer. There's a Mathews dealer near me, and their Lift bows look awesome, so that's what I'm going with.

Cool, Ive been deer hunting since 2004. Usually get 1 every year. Not usually with the bow, but I prefer the bow. Practice lots and it will feel natural when the moment comes. Don't be afraid to let some deer go because the shot is not perfect. Loosing wounded deer really really sucks

Fortunately while I don't have a ton of land, I can set up some targets at and beyond my comfort zone. So I'm planning on getting a lot of practice before the season opens. I really do not want to take a shot unless I'm certain it's clean. Rather go home empty handed than take an iffy shot.

Also, doing a lot of research and scouting nearby preserves. I'd like to find (or make) a good "A to Z" type of checklist to make sure I don't forget or miss something critical.

I don't follow manyhunting youtubers, but I like advice from http://www.youtube.com/@SamkoTradBow
