About a month ago, the SEC in the Philippines released a circular regarding crypto asset providers. while I do advocate for proper regulation for cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, it is important for these entities to understand that it’s a protocol; banning the use of apps that provide access to a global market (a market that is not based in any one country) is blind and ignorant in the understanding of what bitcoin is.
