Always withdraw your bitcoin to your own self-hosted wallet as soon as you have bought it.

Whilst agreed - there needs to be education around UTXO size and mitigate dust transactions. Rule of THUMB - 0.015 and upper in UTXOS.

Thoughts on my thinking here?

Only withdraw to self custody after you’ve done your homework. Always do your homework, so that you can always withdraw to self custody.
