I look for deep thinkers. There's a lot of surface level content on here.
What constitutes a deep thought for you?
I scroll scroll scroll until I see more than two sentences. Then I read. If...
It gives me a new idea....
Or otherwise is an original idea....
Makes me reconsider my position on something....
Or at least challenges my position on something...
That person definitely gets followed.
There's people posting great content on here covering subjects like privacy and self-sovereignty.
Then there's people just posting silly memes.
The spam I don't see. Iris filters the global feed pretty well, and my blocklist keeps getting longer.
I'm just saying. If they are on here now they usually aren't going to annoying the hell out of me with stupid takes.
Not everything is the most insightful but I like a full feed to dig into after work.
I spend most of my time in the global feed because Iris filters it so it's not too spammy and I discover new users still.
