The movie was finally released in June 25th, 1982 with the new title of "Blade Runner" with a new "R" rating...the film has been a cult classic since Day One.

It didn't perform well at the box office like it was originally intended, but it became a VHS/DVD home video sensation with repeat cable TV reruns for dear life.
