Nostr nests is unusable for me. Gave it a college try.
Sadly has been my experience as well.
nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 unsure if it is more of a nos2x issue, but the extension keeps asking for authorization to listen while on Chrome. I was able to ignore the pop-ups and continue to listen, but I don’t think others were.
“Authorizing forever” on the nos2x pop-up doesn’t seem like a best practice but idk.

The original version of Nostr nests involved just signing a post that verified you, and everyone saw it on their timeline. What has become of the current version of Nostr nests is way too complex. Maybe it was to protect privacy of knowing if someone is in a chat or not, but the current version is unusable.
I was only ever able to get it to work once… after that I gave up…

I just use authorize forever and it's good. The issue is otherwise it's going to constantly seek your presence to post to Nostr where you are at in what room you're in. And if you fail to update your presence, then it doesn't know where you are and you can't chat.
I did that and it still didn’t work. If you have any level of private browsing, VPN, etc the connection fails. It works for a little and then shuts off. I am not anywhere near technical enough to know why, but that’s been my experience.
