Until you get evicted for some dumb reason and can't build a real home for you and yours.

Sure, renting can have some advantages, but often renting in many areas is more expensive than paying a mortgage.

Definitely not the case for me currently. Looked into buying a house and it would be significantly more than rent in the area I live. I get why people do it though, especially if you plan on staying somewhere long term.
