Information may want to be free, but it doesn't mean that it's not frictionless as a phenomenon. In order to find its best use, information needs money, just like everything else.

That leads me to think that maybe proponents of V4V can be correct in their statements, but V4V isn't necessarily the most important thing to take into consideration in the case of monetization
