This bump out is where the chimney is, and where the wood cook stove would have been, back in the day. The 'kitchen' and bathroom to the right. The tiny little kitchen in the house, at the back, was an add-on in the late 70's, allegedly. It's an odd size, with a narrow 20" counter on the side facing the rest of the house, as the room was sized to match the back room of the house which currently houses another washroom and the laundry. Where the kitchen now stands used to be a deck.
