Privacy isn’t about hiding wrongdoing. It’s about preventing abuse of power.
History repeats that lesson endlessly, and yet people still say, “If you have nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear.”
It’s about both. But the good outweighs the bad. And many people are just ignorant of the value of many things.

Agreed. There’ll be bad actors but if it’s a choice between freedom for the majority, then I’ll always value that about all else!
