Unless you are using esoteric words to cover up your lack of understanding of complicated ideas.

I see this a lot. People use these words that encapsulate a lot of information, which is necessary for things like philosophy where the meanings are well defined. But, then, people use them incorrectly or don't have a good grasp of the implications. The waters get muddied quickly.

Being succinct is the key. A person who really understands a subject can break it down pretty quickly using simple language.
