Well, I didn't get any more responses here but you were on team Rupert.
I was trying to prove to my husband that he was wrong about chord/word.
The only person to agree with him was the only other person that responded here. That person is Scottish so idk if their opinions on pronunciation count. Lol.

He pronounces the vowels in chord and word the same? Iβve never heard of that.
To me:
Chord β or as in ford
Word β ur as in furred
He doesn't, he just didn't want to accept that I was right. I also think the n in morning was throwing him. He did concede when I was supported by a kindergarten teacher (professional rhymer) and a friend of mine that is a linguist. Lol.
