its fascinating how much of the 'food' sold on supermarket shelves can also be used as indutrial cleaners and lubricants

The brutality of the food in US supermarkets shocks me to my core.

not to mention the ingredients in the “food” isles

the cheapest mayo, which is so full of chemicals you don’t need to refrigerate it, can be used to clean metal parts and leaves an anti rust coating. Or as a wood sealant for outdoor objects. Of course you may catch your dog licking your bench seat afterwards.

Yup. Lard, olive oil, coconut oil... all make great lubricants for working with machinary.

Meanwhile, citrus fruits, vinegar, and baking soda all make great industrial cleaning products.

Food has many great uses, indeed!
