If the Ledger Recover shards can be retrieved by subpoena, they can be retrieved by any other malicious actor as well. This service is not safe/sound at all.

As always they are dismissive of the problems they incur on their users. When they leaked the addresses they went to some podcast saying it’s not a big deal just be wary of scams while being totally dismissive of people who live in dangerous countries in latin America who bought their stuff.
This is not a product for bitcoiners or even privacy minded shitcoiners but for careless “nothing to hide” people who oscillate between metamask and coinbase.
