The difference is that one form of energy consumption is directed to help people save their wealth in time and space (BTC) and protect it from the state, while the other has instead the purpose of silently stealing the people’s wealth with the legal protection of the state.
If you take #Bitcoin's massive energy savings into account, dollar has like 100x bigger carbon footprint 🙄
The money counting machines alone, found all over the world, combined, put bitcoin's "wasteful" energy consumption to shame.
Not enough? How about all the washing machines in all the residences? Refrigerators?
Are you trying to say you get to pick and choose which is worth the electrical "waste" and which isn't?
