The protests for Palestine clearly show you why democracy doesn’t work. I tried to educate people on what’s happening to Palestinians most of my life. I thought if people were aware of what was happening, they’d all put a stop to it. I thought if enough people protested and demanded the war stop, then it would end. I have friends from Gaza that explained to me what the conditions are like there. Some went to visit and barely managed to escape in October. Their kids are in therapy with PTSD now. Months have gone by, but violence hasn’t stopped. The protests continue but nothing is changing. I was wrong. Protests don’t work because the government DOES NOT GIVE A FUCK.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. 75 years of occupation and the number of protesters continues to grow, but it doesn’t seem like it matters. It’s very sad to say but I don’t think anything will stop the violence until Gaza is wiped out or fiat dies (whichever comes first). And if you still think voting is the answer, you’re NGMI. The death of fiat can’t come sooner. Only then can Palestinians and Israelis learn to live together and solve their own problems.

I worked with a girl from Bethlehem and it really opened my eyes to their plight.

You don't live in a democracy. You live in a Republic. Know the difference.

Repeating something as true, without knowing how you know it, and from where -- is #brainwashing.

And #Palestinians have been under occupation for 100+ years: don't forget Lawrence and the #British.

Yeah yeah “and to the republic for which it stands”… Whatever you wanna call it, it clearly doesn’t work.
