We are so stupid to let them do that, the amount of clean energy that wings make is less than the dirty energy it need to be used to build those wings π€¦πΌββοΈ
Yeh and also large turbine blades need a lot of oil to keep spinning and need replaced every 20 years.
Wind really is a very ineffective energy source. Might as well just use oil instead. 
Also, they can produce a lot of noise pollution so they cant be placed near much wildlife. Best would be far out in a large body of water, which often happens to be an environment that would speed up degradation.
