I’m not sure if you want to hear me practicing singing. According to my wife its quite annoying. Currently working on a program with British church music, Finzi and Dove, paired with traditional Norwegian psalms. Project is called «Sacrament».

It works well on violin but I had to make some slight adjustments to accommodate the missing lower octave, i.e. the guitar can go lower.
I still want to get it a little faster and more fluid. I’ll also transpose it into all 12 keys. The end goal is to be able to improvise with it freely in any key — to completely integrate it, body and mind, so I no longer have to think about it.
Practise continues to be essential. What are you working on??

Haha I feel you. There’s different kinds of practise too… more and less annoying 😆 That sounds like a great program, right up my alley as a contemporary and classical person! I have composed one choral work myself — for choir and string orchestra!

We’re doing Gerald Finzi: Lo, the Full Final Sacrifice, that’s great piece.
It’s not recorded yet! The premiere was cancelled because the whole choir got covid 😬 I do have the score and MIDI though!
Sounds like we have te possibility to do the first nostr initiated composer meets ensemble recording in history.

No. The ensemble is only five years old, started up right before Covid hit us…
We’ve spend the first years building a local audience, professional connections and building a good ensemble. It’s definitely something we would want to do in the future.
Sounds like you guys are doing all the right things to get your ensemble off the ground. There’s something fun about envisioning all the firsts that could happen in the Nostr space — still very open. But there’s no rush of course. It’s just nice to be building relationships in another way and with a slightly different angle from “real life”.
I love the idea, let’s keep it mind!
