Growing nostr is a multiprong effort. Using it is certainly important, but we must also get the content out. This could mean sharing it outside of nostr and not merely talking about nostr, though that also helps.

People come for content, interesting UX or other people.

New and interesting nostr apps will take care of interesting UX.

People need tools that enable easy content creation and sharing. That helps with content.

Joining with friends is more fun and bluesky came up with an interesting solution but for some reason nostr hasn’t put any effort into this.

Make it easy to join with friends, make it easy to create and discover content and to use nostr.

The last piece of the puzzle is being able to opt out of all bitcoin content. This is important because it can get annoying, especially now with the price action.

All of this has to be done together, hopefully aided by some other external factors such as platforms screwing up.

I wonder if your rational approach with logical suggestions is more effective than my approach of just shilling to every creator and telling them to get on to get zapped. I have so far failed to be honest. I think zaps would help (100k probably does too!), but trying to onboard local artists to idea of streaming for v4v has been my main thing and ain’t working so far

Different things appeal to different people. Zaps could be appealing to creators. But, we have to remember that some people see bitcoin as crypto scam shitcoin so to them hearing about zaps is not a positive feeling. It’s hard to know what people will relate to but my guess is it’s not bitcoin.

Tough call but very grateful for you triggering some grey cells this end. Think am going to see if I can figure out what kit would be needed to do mobile live streaming locally for streaming and see if people on nostr like it and if it helps onboarding people. Plenty good musicians and djs doing stuff here! Time for some reasearch!
