Actually, for some reasons, there’s been a lot Japanese users who love clients that use Column styled TLs like TweetDeck or Krile StarryEyes since Twitter era.

That's actually not a surprise; asians have a tendency to prever a layout with densely packed information. Like, *really* dense, and packed. This video explains this very well:

The tl;dr of this is: Because they are often exposed to an absolute ton of information, they get used to it and find their way of navigating it, thus building a preference towards it. It's really interesting. ^^
