Not directed at any particular individual. Just a pervasive attitude/mindset I encounter from some that while zaps are cool/fun and could be meaningful in the future, people are better off monetizing on legacy ad-supported platforms. Yet time and again I see new nostr users coming here so excited that from day 1 they were able to start earning directly from others because the restrictions and requirements on other platforms are so prohibitive for most people. This new wave of signups from Ian Carroll’s endorsement just brought it up again. But I think the tide is shifting and the people who think zaps are just play things are becoming the minority. Happy to see it.
