In human society, whether in marriage, family, work, or social interactions, having aligned core values is crucial for any long-term cooperation. Unless one party is particularly tolerant for the sake of personal interest, differing values often lead to conflicts, separation, or even hostility. Therefore, if we want to build long-term cooperation, it’s important not only to consider mutual interests at the beginning, but also to check whether our values align. As it happens, I am an idealist—my values matter just as much to me as personal gain. So, when it comes to things that truly matter to me, no amount of money would make me give up my principles.
