Basil, chives, spring onions. It’s astonishing how close you can put them together too. Consider a bean in any bed as they fix nitrogen to soil

You can also plant a penis chilli at the front door which to spark conversation with visitors 🙄

These look amazing. Peppers and herbs are a no brainer for next season. Have a dozen or so basil plants (we went overboard) that we cook (and decorate cocktails with) regularly.

Yeah just keep adding and testing every year. I got to 70% or so self sufficient a few years ago but then moved to somewhere that nearly nothing grew well. Moving again soon so back to square 1!

Yeah, likely moving in about a year or so, so holding back on the bigger plans for now. Can't wait to have entire patches of glorious crops. Soon... 🌝

I keep leaving fruit trees just as they get prolific. Buyer of house in Spain got highly productive lemons, oranges, limes and avocado. This time it’s finger limes and lemons and papayas. One day maybe I’ll stick around long enough but I’d love to go back and visit some of my old houses to see how they’re doing now

They are nice to have! Grew up in house with something like 20 citrus plants, including the coveted blood orange.
