yo, anyone good with electronics able to give me a hand?
i’m trying to put my raspberry pi 4 8GB into the deskpi pro case, all was going well - but i’m pretty sure they’ve given me a ribbon cable with the blue tape on the wrong side of the connector :((
can someone help? i’ll drop some pics in this thread
this is someone else on youtube and it looks like their cable is the other way too :(

Odd. Can the the other end of the ribbon cable only attach one way?
i haven’t taken the other end of the ribbon cable out of the bracket that it’s attached too - but that was going to be the next thing to try to see if it’s “polarised” (if not should just be able to switch it around like you’re thinking)
only reason i think it might not be able to be switched around on that side is because the ribbon cable itself has branding on one side, and the branding is on the correct side from all the videos i’ve seen on youtube
so that’s what’s making me think that the cable itself is on the correct way (because the branding is on the correct side), but then the tape has just been put on the wrong end
i’ll take that other end off though and hopefully it’s not “polarised” and it’s just that easy to switch around!
you were right! flipped it around and i think it’s all good now (unsure if i damaged the cable in the process with some tweezers, but hopefully it’s all good haha)
