Is the assumption of #Bitcoin doesn't have inflation wrong? This is true if a hard cap exists.

Many people keep coins on the exchange. Seems like a big exchange could sell more than they control fractional reserve style. As long as there is not a 'bank run' it seems more than 21 million could 'exist'. Am I wrong?

of course they can try to do that without it being recognized.. thats why we have to self custody... but on the math it doesn't hange anything, there will never be more than 21 million btc... also if it ever comes out the exchange will completely lose its reputation...

True. I would like everyone to self custody, but this will probably not happen. It would lose its reputation among Bitcoiners, but maybe not on fiat supporting normies.
