I promise you IRS is incompetent to levels you cannot imagine. Giving this data to someone like Palantir who has the competence to use it effectively is a massive change far worse for the individual than just another pork barrel project.

Spying on your citizens is illegal but paying a private corporation to spy for your isn't apparently. Due to the competence gap, I'm wondering if we might have been better off just letting the government spy directly.
