Am I doing it right?

GLOCK-GATE

Glock just discontinued their entire commercial lineup—Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5 models and announced a new V series.
The only survivors? Their Slimline series (43, 43X, 48).
Everything else stops shipping November 30th—including the 17 and 19 that have been the backbone of law enforcement for decades, plus the 22, 23, 26, 34, and 35.
They're calling it "streamlining the portfolio"—but it's happening right as lawsuits pile up over conversion risks.
The "Glock switch" is real: a tiny illegal device—that can be 3D printed in a home setup—converts a semi-auto Glock into a fully-automatic machine pistol. ATF demos show it in action.

How the Glock switch works:

Legal pressure is mounting—states and cities have sued, bans are spreading. California just banned NEW Glock sales (existing owners grandfathered).
Glock will continue to service discontinued models, but won't sell them new.
Stock is disappearing quickly. If you want a battle-tested legacy Glock, now is the time.

Yes
I'd say you're doing all right. ;)
Still a massive fan of the 21 though. That’s the home defense weapon of choice.
9 doesn't penetrate sheet metal consistently enough to work as a dedicated carjacker caliber so I like .45 for the dedicated carjacker pistol.
I started with a 17 thinking that the 19 wouldn't make that much of a difference for concealed carry but it does. Once I had momentum with 9s, I just kept going. Roland Special was originally a 9. Also, the gen 5 I have configured as a dedicated lefty. I can operate it right handed if I have to, but it's a lefty/dual wield option.
Nice thing about the Glocks is the compatibility everywhere, including in the KelTec Sub2k style pieces. As a "situation rifle" one might keep in a vehicle for when the EDC isn't enough, it's nice to be able to have that magazine compatibility between the rifle and the sidearm. I believe cowboys used to do this. Makes a lot of sense. Bullets are weight that has to be carried.
If someone comes to my home, they'll be dealing with a lot more than just a pistol, and for the sake of opsec I'll leave it at that. ;)
Haha. Same here. The 21 is just the most grabable. I love the 17 and keep it in the car. The extra capacity is key for a situation if I needed to use it in the car. Glocks are the best. Not even close. Everything else is just fun or cool, but the practicality and reliability of Glocks are unmatched. I still use the 42 as my carry piece. I’m too skinny for anything else.
pew pew.
