Best way to keep goats from opening your gate.

Years ago when I first got goats I was speaking to an old farmer who said to put two eye bolts through a post and slide a piece of threaded rod or rebar down through them to hold the gate closed.

The welded live stock fence is strong enough for goats to stand on, the thinner fence keeps the kids in but the fence has some give so they won't damage it. Cut and bend one side of the panel to make a hinge and add rebar to the side that opens. The rebar or threaded rod is too long and rough for them to pull all the way up and out both eye bolts but easy enough to open and close one handed.

Is there a picture? It’s been spinning for 5 minutes like it’s trying to load one. I use these, but with a threaded eye bolt not that staple that comes with it:

Weaver makes them too.
