And this, aside from the current reddit problems, was why late last year I began looking further than reddit in my search for opinions and answers. I had tapped it out.

Sending and receiving bitcoin is still like a foreign concept over there. And full of shitcoin arguments.

Also probably why I never posted over there and would just use it as reading material. Hoping to find a gem.

Thanks to all here who prove this is currently happening. And make it so much more than just that.

Yes it was a nice place as a beginner. now TG Twitter and Nostr beat it.

The way the voting system works makes a subreddit completely useless once something leaves a niche.

If you have 100 people that know their stuff "voting" you get to see interesting discussions.

But throw in 4million people that barely know how to spell bitcoin and you get the normie takes up voted and it becomes all Moons and memes😔

Agreed. I was so sick of the constant noise "20x" all this TA, all the new bitcoin killers.

I feel richer with my smaller stack of sats because I spent the time learning how to use it. And slowly saving what I could over time. My sats are important to me.

But having more than those with none I feel like this is better onboarding than trying to sift through constant big blockers and shitcoiners uninterested in the underlying fundamentals only speaking in hypotheticals.

We are proving use. And functionality at levels I'd only heard about.

I get they may mean actual merchant adoption, but if it starts small with the plebs sending a few sats to each other. To me that's worlds more impressive.

I was only really shitting on the reddit voting system, but i liked your rant lol 🤝

There's a lot wrong over there 😂 🤜🤛

Is there a Nostr equivalent with Zaps, then?

Yes zappedit is a attempt at reddit style upvote downvote , i personally just dont like that type of content curation wasnt a comment based on lack of zaps
