Dont buy cards so, use the options that you can spend directly and you will be ok

So the others don't fall into this. Are these company cards such as Walmart that do this or more like the Visa and American Express gift cards where you can use it anywhere?
I'm guessing it would be the latter with Visa and MX cards being the ones that have the issues with shotgun KYC. That's my guess anyway. I don't see why Walmart would do so on Walmart gift cards, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I thought so. I've always dealt with just the company gift cards themselves for that exact reason. It might be slightly more inconvenient, but it's more worth it in my opinion to not have your funds stolen.
Amazon gift cards. You pass a certain threshold, they hold the money for ransom until you KYC. Maybe there are others. One time was enough for me to never do it again.
