I would love to see the "like" button getting erased of each nostr client. In the end it would only matter if you are providing value with your note to another person. Either this person is willing to send you money or to share your note with all their followers and is risking to lose reputation. Real value for value 💜. But as long as notes with more likes are not shown preferentially to the wider public and algorithms are tampering the feed, I'm fine to have the option for both. Maybe it even helps newbies to transit from liking to zapping⚡. That's the beauty of an open protocol, no one has to use the same client as everyone. If you don't like a feature in one client, just use a different one. Only time will tell which clients will be used in the future.
