Afaik no, there really should be a sample-config in the repo to copy.

Yeah, I mean the options are documented but why not just have a couple of examples? One for clearnet, one for TOR only, etc.

I'm not sure how familiar are you with nix or nixos, but setting up node with nix-bitcoin was very easy. In default config I was just uncommenting options or services I wanted to be enabled.

I haven’t used NixOS yet but everyone says so many positive things about it so I feel like I have to test it out soon. Thanks for the tip!

Highly recommend nix, it has a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it its amazing.
