On this date, 21 November 1983, 41 years ago, U2's live album, "UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY," was released.
The album's eight tracks were collected from three events of the band's 1983 "WAR TOUR," including two songs from their June 5 performance at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. The concert film "U2 LIVE AT RED ROCKS: UNDER A BLOOD RED SKY," which was recorded at the same "Red Rocks" gig as the live album, was released as a companion project. Both releases contributed to U2's international status as a famous live act.
