I really hope it does.

The fediverse hype seems to have died down a little, there is a move towards Bluesky. And once that disappoints, Nostr is the next best option.

My friends didn't migrate to nostr because of the classic "chicken and egg problem"; there is nothing here for them, but they aren't able to put here what they want. You know the drill.

That said, I really need some new peeps to follow. All the BTC talk is tiring...
