I have the same thing but in tor. Is the zap button opening up the extension for approval?

it opens a new window showing the note in question, a new comment field, default zap amounts, and the "send x zaps" button. but when I click to submit it just gets stuck, and the transaction doesn't seem to be passing to albyhub - the extension popup window never shows up for confirmation.
it opens the extension for approval for other actions, for instance approval for new notes, or changes to settings.
I've had this happen in a prior setup a long time ago. I don't remember what was wrong that caused it. Might be a bug from an older version? Can you check the version vs the latest on other browsers?
