My Dad refused to teach me to play golf. My mom at some point decided it would be a fun couple’s activity for them earlier on in their relationship. He took her to a driving range and she kept swinging, looking for where her ball went but it was still on the tee. Long story short the only balls she actually managed to hit that day were my father’s. I don’t think my father has attempted to teach anyone how to play golf since. He is somehow still happily married to my Mom.
