Regarding adult content on zap.stream:

Good suggestions from adult streamer Erikha.

I think people will fork zap stream and implement adult specific functionality.

We already have usd amounts but they are on another tab and hidden. I can see how bringing this out into chat area or under stream would be better.

We definitely don’t want to spam people with links. What will happen eventually is that your profile will likely show as streaming via a color and icon change. Think Twitter spaced indicator.

We already have cards to add affiliate and shop links. And random text or images or anything really.

I’ve been told VOD is being worked on. So that should help with extra content on the site.

Imo zap.stream should not focus on adult content and thus not show nsfw on home page. Profile images are bad enough as it is on some profiles. I personally have nothing against it but cannot even open the site with kids around. I’m also 90% certain the website will be a laughing joke in the stream circles if it openly displays nsfw on home page. This is exactly the strength of nostr to fork and still be interoperable.

Why waste any freedom-loving resources on brain-draining content (it's not "adult"), when there are already enough shit heads not giving a damn about freedom, because they care about exploitation of all kinds for the sake of gaining money, i. e. out of pure greed?

I'm saying, a majority of the internet is already filled with 'NSFW' content, so we don't need #Nostr resources wasted on shit that's already spamming everyone everywhere, anyway.

Its like going into one NPC World, like Twitter & then asking for more NPCs.

I also forgot to emphasise, that saying "adult" whatever is a huge euphemism. It's not "adult".

"Adult" is having a job, getting shit together & knowing, that only oneself has the responsibility for one's actions.

THAT is adult content. :)

You're missing out on a lot of sats if you shun the adult content. I can understand not showing it on the homepage by default. Maybe only show it to signed in users and give everyone an option if they want to see nsfw content or not.

The adult industry is always an early adopter to any new tech. Nostr and Bitcoin are no exception. In addition it's an industry that is also often unbanked and therefore has a lot to gain from it.

Just seems like shooting yourself in the foot and shunning a huge market of existing and potential users for fear of being hypothetically judged by strangers.

Your platform your choice ofc but that's just my two sats on the issue.
