How could you look at everything we've accomplished and be bearish on nostr? Out of NOTHING we now have digital independence from ALL PLATFORMS. Nothing else exists like it.

And you're bearish? Because of some self-imposed KPI like daily active users? Do you understand why we are really here?

We build freedom tech to secure our FUTURE. That means low time preference and building beyond current trends and conveniences and ambitions.

We want users, but most of all we want the tools to be there when people need them.

We're still small, scrappy, young. We try, we fail, we learn, we iterate 1000x faster than any megacorp or government.

All is going according to plan. Just don't quit today because our victory isn't today, it's Tomorrow.

I wouldn't say in bearish, I'm 100% on board with the digital independence Nostr provides, but when the overwhelming majority of new folks are immediately frustrated and leave and never come back, or when I am frustrated with so many aspects of Nostr, and the active user numbers are coming down, I start to believe less and less that Nostr can achieve the goals if its developers and users. Will Nostr just turn into a glorified Telegram group? Should i wait until 2029 to evaluate its progress? My concerns and questions are shared by almost everyone on Nostr, literally. So I don't think we're bearish, we're just evaluating and sensing the fact that, unlike Bitcoin, Nostr's growth and success is not a foregone conclusion.

Also it could be said that developers need to get their asses in gear and deliver some top notch shit. But I would never say that because I know their situation.
