The problem that you all helped me with but which was unresolved - that when I logged into the Damus 1.7 series with a particular private key, I could not post or react (as if I had logged in with my public key) - is now resolved.

(1) Launch the App Store version of Damus 1.7.2 (1)

(2) Delete all relays that have been set up

(3) Restart Damus

(4) Add relays again

(5) Restart Damus

Now I am able to post, react, etc. successfully.
