There are only a couple of interesting strategic decisions left.
First is whether the US defends Israel against Iran. Trump said he would, but there remains an outside chance that he deceived Netanyahu, let Netanyahu hang himself, in order to get the monkey off of America's back, to free America of Israeli control. We will see if that is what happens. More likely Trump is just an idiot and will defend Israel.
The second interesting decision is how much Russia and/or China backstop Iran. I'm not sure if they have to do it strategically... I think time alone will tip the balance of powerin their favor despite what happens to Iran. But they might wish to assert their dominance early and protect a very important strategic ally.
If those both go the way I suspect, US will back Israel and Russia and China will stay back... then Iran will be destroyed and the collapse of the US led world will be slowed down a little bit. The ugliest outcome, as it will just kill a lot of people and still won't achieve what the US wants. But the ugliest outcome is usually what actually happens, unfortunately.
