Replying to Avatar GHOST

When the mandatory face ID KYC rolls out it won't come from the "government" you know, like a president, Congress, or prime minister.

It'll quietly roll out through corporations and major financial network services.

It wont be a law or bill up for debate, just page 3 recommendations by FinCEN, WEF, SEC.

Quiet control that isn't mandated by law, but necessary if you want to apply for a job, loan, or invest.

What's even more absurd about all of this is that AI is making ALL of that completely ineffective at what it attempts to do. Voice and image deep fakes are already indistinguishable from reality. Soon recorded and live video deep fakes will be just as unreliable. Their band aids on their broken systems don't even work!

Soon ALL of the KYC docs they require will be recognized as easily faked and completely useless. The Great Disillusionment' IS coming, sooner than most realize no digital communication without encryption from known and trusted parties will be valid.

The good news is this is all gonna drive even more adoption of encryption, Webs of Trust, and tools like Nostr.

The Fediverse is also a good idea. My former editor, Sokio, is running a Lemmy community.

It's also decentralized somewhat, and probably won't allow this digital ID nonsense.
