Leaders of Self-Determination of the Kabyle Region (MSD) movement officially declared independence of the Kabyle Region which is north Algeria,it is now known as "Federal Kabyle Republic" to these french citizens.

Ceremony took place in private hotel near the Arc de Triomphe with a large audience of activists, movement leaders & several figures from other countries

Im not sure what you mean by this but these two situations are pretty different. French people in france with links to a region declare independece not the people LIVING in that region. In the donbas the people that are actually living there asked Russian assistance voted for autonomy.

The situation in this post is like 100 people that live in mexico declaring that Florida shall now be known as lesser mexico and elects a president for florida.

But yes the situation of the Paris video is even worse than I first recognized.
