It's not bad rap, it's a scam
The term "Web3" has a bad rap in #Bitcoin circles, and for good reason. At the same time, it's obvious that our current Internet is rife with problems, problems that decentralized technology offers solutions to.
I had the privilege of talking with Graham Krizek ( nostr:npub1txp36dw5whexeqrve9srausszfcq73v8f3x07tzzy7g7g3mrw04s8uxacz ), founder & CEO of Voltage ( nostr:npub15klkdfx9sh3y096a5jf895rcvkmkzvly2fm9dgxq6huqhp9576jsav4m73 ), about everything from Lightning to #Nostr to Ordinals to Taproot assets and more. Social media to mobile gaming.
Perhaps "Web3" is beyond reclamation, but the next generation of the Web belongs to Bitcoin & Nostr.
