How's the cost of living in Kashmir compared to some global cities you've been to?

It depends, for local it's very cheap but if you are a tourist you may pay little bit more.

I'm thinking of a semi-long term stay, say 3 months a year? Always looking for more places to shuffle between.

If you are planning let me know, you will get very reasonable prices.
