DeSantis is the probably only option the establishment has if it wants to neutralize the populist uprising and he's letting them know he's willing to play ball.

I honestly wonder how much power the President actually has. Trump's term seemed almost like a hostage situation and the current administration is more like a humiliation ritual calculated to demoralise the American public.
