I don’t know who did this, and I don’t know why. But I *do* know three things:

1. I *do* know they I hope the guardsmen are okay and that they heal quickly.

2. I *do* know that perhaps some kind of effective gun control might be a good idea to prevent something like this from happening again, or at least reduce the chances of it happening again.

3. And finally, I *do* know that anyone who doubted the election results of 2020, who encouraged widespread disbelief when it came to those results, and who cheered on, downplayed, or excused in any way the January 6, 2021 seditious, insurrectionist, terrorist attack on the Capitol and its personnel—and remember; the January 6th riots were the natural outgrowth of election denialism and Trump’s willingness to urge that denialism along—can take a goddamned seat.
