The powerful thing about nostr:npub10qdp2fc9ta6vraczxrcs8prqnv69fru2k6s2dj48gqjcylulmtjsg9arpj is that it allows people to build communities on #Nostr (as moderated or limited as they desire) without impinging on anyone else’s freedom.
After running a Fedivese server with 20,000+ accounts for 5 years, I’ve learned how important this is. Many people want communities catered to their desired vibe. As an admin, you have the responsibility to both nurture the vibe of the group, and protect individual users’ freedom. This is often in conflict.
But thanks to the account portability of Nostr, a user can be removed from a #Ditto server yet, unlike on the Fediverse, they don’t lose access to their account, their data doesn’t disappear, and they aren’t censored from the whole network. That user is just excluded from *your* domain.
