Important note:

Just like with money, so with religions, any centralized aspects, especially with alive leaders, is a scam. Whatever is centralized, was created and is maintained by governments or bankers in order to fool you in some way, that always adds up to the overall goal of enslavement.

There can be books (bible, koran, pali canon), and you can pay somebody to print them. That is fine. The same way there can be teachers, and you can buy "lessons" or ceremonies from them. That is also fine. But when a teacher starts claiming that without him you are not properly religious, or receives donations from governments or other wealthy individuals and entities, that is not fine. That one is definitelly a scammer. To mention some examples of scammers: pope, various patriarchs, various muslim supreme leaders, some buddhist chief monks, as well as any monks and priests and imams that support the idea that you are not properly religious if you do not attend their churches, mosques, and temples. You can, but you do not have to.

Especially any ceremonies that target children to be included/excluded in the religious communities. E.g. baptising children or children monks. That is not OK. You can teach them in schools religious truths, but only grown ups can be included in religious communities, or else the community is a scam.

I am saying this while I am religious myself, and am very much in favor of everyone being religious. But only in a voluntary decentralized way, conciously choosing the right religion for you regardless of local and family traditions. As necessarily sticking to family traditions would be like sticking to USD because all your grandpas used it, or feeling obliged to stay in Canada because that is where you were born.
