Vintage wine is more scarce than Bitcoin.
This is a WIN for Bitcoin.
because Bitcoin is forever and Wine is not.

A Bitcoin hodler's timeframe can be infinite (but 4 years at minimum).
That's because Bitcoin doesn't spoil. Its value might ebb and flow, but nothing about it really changes. It just sits there, becoming more valuable the longer you wait.
Wine always has an end date.
A decent red probably peaks in 3–5 years. A serious, structured one might give you 8–15. An exceptional vintage with serious acidity, tannin, and balance? Maybe 20+ years if you're lucky.
Even as each bottle is improving, it's on an inevitable march towards death. The phenolics will break down, the fruit will fade and the structure will soften until it collapses.
Your favorite wine won't last forever, but there's always another vintage to fall in love with. Given the geographic distribution, seasonality and the limits of an individual winemaker, wine tends towards infinite expressions.
Money tends to one. There is no next Bitcoin to look forward to.
You're better off just holding bitcoin and using that to buy any wine you want to drink. It can be fun to collect and age wine, but you'll be able to afford to pay for someone else to do the aging if you just hold bitcoin.
