friendly reminder that nostr is open source , and your favourite client is also probably open source.

PRs are always preferred over complaints or requests for new features.

for most people, this requires a shift in your thinking.

we’ve grown accustomed to using free software without ever giving back because we were in fact the product. kinda how pigs never question why the farmer never charges them for the feed

It’s also about how users bring up feedback/criticism. Good detailed bug reporting is really appreciated and helps fix issues quickly.

“This is broken” or “this doesn’t work” only results in wasted dev time as they try to figure out what “this” is and whether or not it is actually not functioning correctly.

depends on the balance. you can still drown in a sea of constructive feedback if people aren’t showing up to help build
